I-41 closed in Oak Creek due to apparent fatal accident

I-41 northbound in Oak Creek was closed for over six hours Sunday night and early Monday morning for an apparent fatal vehicle accident.   The accident occurred around 9:40 PM in the north bound lane of I-41 south of W Oakwood Road near the Milwaukee/Racine county line.  The Milwaukee  County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating the accident and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has been called to the scene.  What exactly happened is not available at this time but north bound traffic was diverted off the freeway at S 27th Street  to Ryan Road and then back onto I-41.  The freeway was cleared for traffic around 4:15 AM.
