MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Carmen Baldwin, NDTR, Community Nutrition Manager at Hunger Task Force, joined us Wednesday, May 21 to celebrate Eat More Fruits & Vegetables Day with simple, nutritious recipes.
Baldwin showcased three dishes designed to boost daily produce intake. Veggie-Ful Breakfast Bites offer a fiber- and antioxidant-rich option for busy mornings. An Apple Chicken Salad combines multiple food groups and works well as a sandwich filling. Lastly, the Ginger Mandarin Pear Salad incorporates canned fruit in a unique way, providing vitamin C and fiber.
All recipes are part of Hunger Task Force’s goal to promote accessible, healthy eating habits.
