Hunger Task Force Day Before Thanksgiving Food Drive Getting Some Deliveries Already

Students are working with teachers to help the Hunger Task Force this holiday season.

For weeks now, they have been collecting food in those familiar blue bins at Upper Iowa University.

They delivered their truck load of food on Monday ahead of the day before Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Drive at Miller Park on Wednesday, November 23rd.

The donations will help keep pantries full throughout the upcoming winter months.

The school considers this is a tradition about doing something extra this time around.

“We’ve had collection bins throughout the center so our students can contribute but this year we're going the extra effort, we'll have a lot of our staff will be there on the 23rd to help collect the cans through the drive thru food drive," says Marshall Whitlock the Center Director of Upper Iowa University of Milwaukee.

CBS 58 News will broadcast from 5 AM until 6 PM the day before Thanksgiving to personally thank folks who stop by with their donations
