MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Breast cancer survivors and supporters took over Milwaukee’s lakefront Sunday morning for 2017’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
The latest update shows that this year’s race raised over $178,000. Organizers point out that this event goes beyond just raising money; it’s also a chance for togetherness for breast cancer survivors.
More than 500 breast cancer survivors participated in Sunday’s race which also paid tribute to those who died from the disease.
