Human Trafficking in Racine

A film that provides a powerful look at human trafficking is coming to The Golden Rondelle Theater in Racine. The public has two chances to view “8 Days” for free on Saturday, February 28th.

During this episode of “Racine & Me,” viewers get a sneak peek at the film that's based on actual events. We also explore the problem of human trafficking in southeastern Wisconsin.

An investigator with the Racine Police Department talks about recent cases in the region and the success of operations to find the traffickers and rescue the victims.

We also sit down with the founder of the Racine Coalition Against Human Trafficking to highlight the group's effort to increase awareness about the crime and help the victims after they've been rescued.
