Human trafficking awareness conference aims to educate teens

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) – A conference that is scheduled to take place in March, is aimed at educating teens about the dangers of human trafficking.

TraffickJAM is a one-day, free event for 7th-12th graders on March 17 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Pleasant Prairie. The event is being put on by Fight to End Exploitation.

Organizers say the conference will be held from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sessions with local and national experts will include topics such as healthy relationships, self-defense and communication skills. The event will also feature a concert by hip hop recording artist Curvine.
