Fire crews responded to a house fire near 11th and Lapham around 3:00 am on Milwaukee's south side. When crews arrived on scene, the house was fully engulfed in fire. The fire was contained to one home, but affected other homes and a business because they were so close together.
Red Cross is assisting 10 people who have been displaced. Luis Robles says his mother owns Reyna's Beauty Salon on the corner. It was affected by the fire. Now it's boarded up.
\"She'll make it through,\" Robles said. \"This is her life. It's sad to see it go down like this. Hopefully not for long.\"
There has been no word on a cause.
The fire chief said as of now, the fire is not being called suspicious.
The fire is still under investigation.
