City of Milwaukee, police union reach tentative agreement
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Living Hope Lutheran Elementary School teamed up with Centerpointe Yacht Services for their Stuff the Boat food drive.
The school delivered non-perishable food items, such as canned fruits, veggies and soup, to the Kinship Community Food Center in Milwaukee -- all aboard a sport boat!
"Something I love about seeing moments like this, is seeing that people in Milwaukee care a lot about the community here. They love Milwaukee and they love the people in it," said Travis Sternhagen, volunteer training associate at Kinship Food Center.
The food items aboard the boat weighed in at over 1,000 pounds which will al go toward combatting food insecurity in Milwaukee County.
