Holey Mackerel! Check out remodeled mini golf course, batting cages and arcade in Greenfield
GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Layton Ave in Greenfield, the 18-hole mini golf course and batting cages have been a staple for family fun since 1999. Four years ago, it closed, and when Tripper Duval checked out the space, he instantly imagined bringing it back to life.
In 2023, Duval began remodeling what is now Holey Mackerel. He updated the putting greens, the landscaping and brought many of the original spaces back to life. He also added a bar and food truck with a full-service menu right in front.
"My favorite moment is standing up in that front bar area, and when people walk in and see the difference of what they've noticed from the past. It is a moment of shock and awe, and it happens every time and I love it," said Duval.
This is the first summer Holey Mackerel is operating with all of the finished renovations. They also have a beer garden with events happening all summer.
"We also do outdoor music bingo on Thursdays and really any time you can come chill, grab a drink and let the kids play. We've got a bounce house, we've got bags, we've got ladder-golf, it's a fun place to come and relax," said Duval.
They offer a summer, spring and fall mini golf league.
