Hit-and-run driver injures two; Milwaukee police searching for vehicle

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are looking for the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that left two people with serious injuries.


The pedestrians were walking near Wisconsin Avenue and Milwaukee Street downtown just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday when a speeding car hit them.


Witnesses say the car continued east on Wisconsin Avenue.


The car is described as a gray four door 2000 to 2007 Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable, and should have damage to the hood and windshield.


Both pedestrians remain in the hospital.
