Highway 57 in Ozaukee County closed after fatal crash between van and tanker

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Just after 5 a.m. Friday morning, January 11, the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office was called to a two-car crash on State Highway 57 south about 75 yards south of Jay Road in Fredonia.
An investigation revealed that a tanker hauling wastewater turned south onto Highway 57 from Jay Road and was rear-ended by a van driven by an Illinois man.
The driver of the van died and is identified as a 27-year-old Aurora Illinois man.
Highway 57 has been closed since the accident occurred and is expected to open shortly.
