RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo compiled a list last week, asking the public to vote for their favorite set of names for the zoo's new tamarin twins.
It was a close call, but the votes have been tallied and the winners are: Gabriella and Gianna!
The zoo thanks everyone for their votes and says the public is welcome to come visit the new babies soon.
They've also created a wish list for those who'd like to help support the new twins and the tamarin family.

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Back in January, the Racine Zoo announced the birth of twin emperor tamarins.
Recently, they revealed the sexes -- they're girls!
The babies were born at the end of December to Amelie and Pitino at the Racine Zoo. But something is still missing -- their names.
The zoo has compiled a list of name pairs for the public to vote on now through March 1, 2022.
The name options include:
- Gabriella/Gianna
- Giulietta/Giovanna
- Zarina/Zita
- Caterina/Carmella
On March 2, the Racine Zoo plans to announce the winning names on their social media pages.

For those interested in helping to support the little ones, the zoo has put together a baby shower list. It includes enrichment items like silk palm leaves, and tools like cleaning supplies and a scale to care for the tamarins. Once the gifts arrive, the zoo will share the tamarins' reaction on social media as well.
