Help Ricky find a forever home

A two-and-a-half-year old terrier mix named Ricky is looking for his forever home.

The Schueller family in Pewaukee has been fostering Ricky for over a year. However, the family is now expecting their first child in August, so Ricky must move on to a new foster home or ideally, a forever home.

\"You grow to like him a lot, he's a good dog, but he needs a situation that we can't provide for him right now,\" said Greg Schueller.

Ricky is well behaved, listens to all commands and is full of energy, according to the Schueller family. The organization \"Milwaukee Pets Alive\" has tried to promote \"Ricky's\" adoption on Social Media, but they are having trouble finding the right family.

\"His energy level, some people see as a downfall, but it's kind of an advantage if you're an active person or if you're gardening he'll be out sunbathing with you,\" said Ally Kluth, with Milwaukee Pets Alive.

Ricky needs to be in a rural or suburban setting, in a home without other dogs or small children.

\"He was attacked by two dogs previously, so that's why he's a little bit more fearful,\" said Kluth.

They say all he needs is a new family, who will take the time to get to know him and care for him.

\"We are trying to get him to a place that he can really thrive,\" Schueller added.
