Multiple chances for strong to severe storms this weekend
CBS 58—Three young men died in a fiery crash in the Town of Lyons Sunday night.
Police identify them as 17-year-old Hunter Morby, 17-year-old Jason Davis and 20-year-old Landen Brown. Hunter and Jason were juniors at Burlington High school, Landen graduated in 2015.
Hunter’s mother, Carly Lemmon, tells CBS 58 he was a singer and recently performed at Disney World with his high school acapella group.
On Monday-classmates gathered to place flowers at the crash site-- where burn marks and debris still litter the area.
“It hurts everyone,” said Oliva Weis, a classmate of the teens. “Everyone’s heartbroken.”
Police say the car was traveling at a high rate of speed-when it crashed and burst in to flames. One nearby neighbor says this isn't the first fatal accident on the road
“It can be very dangerous, especially at high speeds,” said Bill Bingen, who lives down the road. “The posted speed limit is 35. Even if you go 45 you can feel your stomach go.”
Hunter's mother tells CBS 58, "There are no words to say except he was my perfect sweet boy."
Counselors will be on hand at Burlington High School starting Tuesday, and there will be a gathering in the gym at 7 PM for anyone in the community who needs support.
