Hartland family takes on a new adventure together as owners of Waukesha's Kona Ice truck

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Paddock family is taking on an adventure together as first-time business owners.

When Mike and Jill Pollack's son graduates with a degree in hospitality in just a few short weeks, he'll already have a little experience under his belt. The family is serving up ices to festivals, private and public events around Waukesha County.

As the weather warms up, kids' eyes will light up when they see the lights of the Kona Ice truck.

"Every customer is happy to see us," said Mike Paddock. "They pick their own flavors; they mix and match as much as they want."

Whether you've got your eye on a traditional Red Ninja cherry or a blue Island Rush, or you want something a little more limited edition like the lavender or root beer flavors, you'll find something to freeze your tongue and tickle your taste buds.

Part of what attracted them to the Kona Ice business is the giveback program. When working with schools, sporting events or charities, the giveback program donates 20% of the proceeds to support the organization.
