Step into the Schauer Center for an interactive day of multi-disciplinary arts education workshops featuring Irish dancing, music, theatre, and visual arts experiences. This half-day intensive program will challenge students to think big and create bigger, helping to discover their own artistic vision or inner voice. Aside from exploring their artistic potential, students will gain positive values such as cooperation and self-confidence. Studies have shown that the arts enhance student achievement and performance in the core curriculum areas of math, science, and reading. Arts education is also critical in developing the next generation of performers, patrons, and ambassadors for the arts.
The program includes a facility tour, four rotated 50-minute workshops, and a 30-minute break for lunch (lunch is not provided). Each workshop will offer professional instruction by teaching artists, with volunteer support staff as needed.
