Halt on same-sex marriages

Same-sex couples can not get married in Wisconsin, at least for now.

Judge Barbara Crabb issued a stay Thursday bringing a  halt to all same-sex marriages.

Now--the case goes to the 7th circuit court of appeals in Chicago.

Judge Crabb said, she did not want to issue the stay but felt she had to while the  appeals are pending.

The couples who were married over the last week are left in legal limbo.

Judge Crabb's order did not say what the stay legally means for the same-sex couples who were issued marriage licenses over the last week.

CBS 58's Lila Carrera reports.
