CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Drivers will face a weekend closure at the Hale Interchange later this month as part of resurfacing work along I-41/43/894 in Milwaukee County.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the southbound system ramp from I-41/I-894 to I-41 southbound, I-43 northbound and I-894 eastbound will close from 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 through 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27.

Crews will complete bridge work during the 54-hour shutdown.

Motorists should use a detour via I-43 southbound to WIS 100 (108th St.), then continue along WIS 100, Layton Ave. and the 60th St. entrance ramp to return to I-41 southbound, I-43 northbound or I-894 eastbound.

WisDOT expects the resurfacing project through the interchange to continue through late 2026.
