Gusty winds continue with single digit wind chills

A strong winter cold front rolled through the Upper Midwest Tuesday evening. Highs on Tuesday reached the upper 50s in some communities but then the temperatures dropped fast and Wednesday morning we are waking up in the 20s. Add on a very gusty wind and it's feeling like the single digits and low tens. Highs temperatures Wednesday and Thursday stay chilly in the 30s. We warm up briefly on Friday into the upper 40s then see up and down temps for the upcoming weekend.

Wind chills all day Wednesday will stay in the teens. The coldest morning when it comes to wind chill will be Thursday morning with wind chills down in the lower single digits and close to zero. With a bit of a lighter wind Thursday afternoon the wind chill isn't as bad but still chilly feeling like the 20s.

The strong wind will last through all of Wednesday with wind gusts to 40 mph. The wind slowly does down Wednesday night with a lighter wind on the way Thursday. Friday will see the wind pick back up with a stiff breeze forming.
