WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- More than 60 Wisconsin groups are urging two of the state's biggest hospital systems to resume gender-affirming care for minors.

The letter calls on Children's Wisconsin and UW-Health to restart services like puberty blockers and hormone therapy for patients under 18.

Both hospital systems paused some of that care earlier this year, citing federal actions and legal uncertainty.

The groups behind the letter say delaying care could harm trans youth and their families.
