A year ago, there was no women's wrestling at Lakeland University, or at any other college in Wisconsin. But Ben Chapman and his assistant coach petitioned the University to add the sport, and recruited athletes from all over the state.
The brand new team finished the season 15th in the country and produced the first national champion in Lakeland athletics history.
Their story aired Thursday night on CBS 58.
