Greenfield Police Arrest US Bank Robbery Suspect After Foot Chase

GREENFIELD - The Greenfield Police received a 911 call from US Bank employees stating that a bank robbery had just occurred this afternoon shortly before noon. Officers responded to the area of the bank and were informed by area residents that the subject had fled eastbound on W. Bolivar Ave on foot
from S. 27 Street. Greenfield officers located the subject in the area. Officers pursued the subject on foot and he was subsequently taken into custody without incident after a brief foot chase.

Officers were able to recover the money that had been stolen from the bank. No one was injured during this incident.

The subject in police custody was identified as a 29-year-old Milwaukee man that has a lengthy criminal history. This subject may also be involved in other robberies that have occurred in the Milwaukee area.

No other information is available at this time, as the investigation is on-going.
