Greenfield Man Fires Shots at Juvenile Neighbor After Being Angry About Fireworks

GREENFIELD - Greenfield officers responded to a residence in the 3900 block of S. 84th Street for a report of a subject who fired a gun late last night. The juvenile caller reported a neighbor came onto his balcony and fired a gun in his direction. Officers were able to make contact with an individual in the neighboring apartment building. The suspect, a 45-year-old Greenfield man, first told officers he shot a firework off in the direction of the juvenile.

The suspect then admitted that he fired his .40 cal pistol out of anger.  Police recovered the pistol and magazine from the man's apartment.

The man told officers that he was upset as his neighbor was continually shooting off fireworks.  The suspect was arrested for Recklessly Endangering Safety and taken to the Criminal Justice Facility. The case has been referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charging.
