Greendale police investigate juvenile battery incident near Westway and Elberton

GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Greendale Police Department is investigating a battery incident involving a juvenile victim that happened on Sunday, Oct. 17.

Authorities say that at approximately 2:04 p.m. on Oct. 17, Greendale police received a call from a resident saying that a juvenile had come to their door reporting to be a victim of a battery.

Greendale police say that the juvenile victim reported that five white juvenile males on bikes “jumped” him near Westway and Elberton on the afternoon of Oct. 17.

The victim said the attack happened between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Police say the the suspects are approximately 17-years-old with two of the suspects wearing gray sweatpants and three of the suspects wearing gray shorts.

According to the victim, the suspects bicycles were described as a white mountain bike, a green and purple bike, a yellow bike, a white and blue bike, and a black bike.

Officials say following the battery, the five suspects fled southbound on Westway.

Police say the neighborhood where the battery occurred was checked and no juveniles matching that description were located.

Additionally, authorities say area residents were interviewed for information.

The Greendale Police Department is reportedly still investigating all aspects of this incident and following up on tips/leads.
