‘Great news for Milwaukee’: Gov. Evers praises Molson Coors expansion

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) – Governor Tony Evers along with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation are celebrating a newly-approved expansion to the Molson Coors Beverage Company.

According to a release from the Evers’ office, the ‘Enterprise Zone’ will move 377 new jobs to Milwaukee and allow the company to retain 1,290 jobs in total in Wisconsin for the next eight years.

“This is great news for Milwaukee and for Wisconsin,” Evers said in a statement. “Molson Coors—and its predecessor Miller Brewing—have been part of Wisconsin’s history for nearly 165 years. With this agreement, we can look forward to keeping another iconic Wisconsin business in our state for many years to come.”

The WEDC Board of Directors approved the plan on November 17.
