Grafton School Board to Consider Fate of Music Teacher

Monday night the Grafton School Board could decide the fate of a beloved teacher.

Bob Maronde, a music teacher at Woodview Elementary School was put on leave for the remainder of the year after discipline incidents in the classroom.

But a group has rallied to have him reinstated and they’re planning to attend tonight’s meeting.

Dozens are planning to rally here at the board of education meeting tonight.

In hopes of getting Mr. Maronde his job back

Maronde was put on leave last month after two separate incidents involving the disciplining of students in his classroom.

But in the wake of that decision, more than 2,000 people liked a Facebook page supporting the music teacher.

They wrote letters and tonight they plan to speak out.

But not all parents think Mr. Maronde should get his job back.

One mom says she initially liked that Facebook page, but then decided she trusts the decision of the school principal and district administrators.

Tonight’s meeting starts here at the high school at 6. There will be a time for public comment—

And the board will discuss the Mr. Maronde situation.
