Gracie, dog thrown from SUV in Elmbrook, now up for adoption

ELMBROOK Wis. (CBS 58) -- You might remember Gracie, the dog that was nursed back to health by the Elmbrook Humane Society after being thrown from an SUV just south of North Avenue on Barker Road.

According to the Humane Society, she is now up for adoption! Gracie has put on a few pounds, her skin is beginning to heal, her fur is growing back,  and the scabs on her tail have cleared up.

Gracie is currently in a temporary foster home with a staff member but is feeling well enough for a more permanent arrangement!

Gracie needs a home without other pets and no children under the age of 12-years-old.

Elmbrook Humane Society would like to thank everyone who donated to her care and offered words of support.
