Governor Walker Visits MillerCoors
Ahead of National Tourism and Travel Week, Governor Scott Walker visited the MillerCoors plant in Milwaukee this morning.
After getting a close up look at the production facility, he spoke about the economic role companies play in boosting tourism.
In the past 5 years, tourism here has grown nearly 30 percent, more than any other state in the Midwest.
Travel Secretary Stephanie Klett joined the governor today.
Both say 'creativity' is what's helping to pump money into the economy.
Gov. Scott Walker "if people come and have a great experience, whether it's here in Milwaukee, or anywhere else across the state they are going to keep coming back because they want to relive that memory, they want to pass it onto their kids and their grandkids. That's something we rally focus in on." "The truth of the matter, research shows people aren't vacationing because of a slogan, they're vacationing because of the product, and Wisconsin has a superior product."
Governor Walker is touring other places around the state today including heritage hill state historical park in Green Bay.
