Governor Scott Walker Kicks off Wisconsin State Fair

It's a summertime tradition dating back 165 years, the Wisconsin State Fair kicked off its 11-day run this morning in West Allis.

The gates opened at 8:00 AM signaling the start of 15 hours of fun on this day one.

There is everything from cows to cream puffs, music and the midway.

A number of dignitaries were on hand for this morning's opening ceremony including Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker who says this annual celebration is a big deal for his family and so many others.

A donation of two non-perishable food items before 4 this afternoon gets you in for only $2.
