MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers kicked off his re-election campaign Saturday, Nov. 6, at an event in Milwaukee.
The events are organized as part of a statewide effort by Wisconsin Democrats to rally voters for the 2022 midterm election.
While speaking to voters, Evers touted his pandemic response and his administration's efforts to provide broadband to 300,000 households.
"This is a real important race for a number of reasons," Evers said. "Do I have a lot of unfinished business that I know you've expected? Hell yes, but at the end of the day, having me in office is going to prevent democracy from getting frittered away."
Evers also spoke to how he vetoed a number of efforts by State Republicans on elections and abortion access.
