RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Governor Evers stopped in Racine Monday for a round-table discussion about jobs in Wisconsin.
The focus was less about creating jobs and more about keeping young people from taking their education and leaving Wisconsin.
"We focused a lot in this meeting on the quality of life in Wisconsin," said Secretary-Designee Caleb Frostman of the State Dept. of Workforce Development. "The story we have to tell about getting people here. But then also convincing Wisconsinites, young people, and maybe getting to schools even earlier, about getting them to stay."
Frostman says the state needs to be better at giving people the skills they need in the current labor market.
