WAUSAU, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Governor Tony Evers signed a package of five bipartisan bills into law on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
They aim to expand access to dental care and address dental workforce shortages in the area.
Federal data released this month shows 160 shortage areas of this type of care in Wisconsin.
The five bills will loosen licensing restrictions, bring in out of state workers, train dental students, create scholarships for Marquette University dental students, and allow insurers to send reimbursements directly to a provider.
