Gov. Evers declares state of emergency after severe weather impacts Wisconsin

WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Governor Tony Evers has signed an executive order, declaring a state of emergency after flooding and severe storms impacted communities across the state.

Wisconsin residents are recovering from the damage caused by the high winds, tornadoes, hail and heavy flooding. According to the National Weather Service, three tornadoes have occurred across central and southwestern Wisconsin. 

More strong storms are possible to come through Wednesday night, and a flash flood watch remains in our area until 7 a.m. Thursday morning. 

Gov. Evers is touring storm damage tomorrow, April 15, in communities impacted from this week's extreme weather.
