Golden Eagles hold off 22nd ranked LSU in Legends Classic

Marquette's Golden Eagles pulled an upset Monday at the Legends Classic in New York, beating 22nd ranked LSU 81-80.
NBA prospect Ben Simmons scored 21 for the Tigers, but passed the ball twice on the final possession, which ended with a Jalyn Patterson miss and a celebration from the young Marquette squad.
Luke Fischer scored 19 points and Henry Ellenson added 16 plus 11 rebounds for the Golden Eagles, who won for the second time this season. MU will face Arizona State Tuesday evening in New York.
