Golden Eagles drop road decision at Villanova

VILLANOVA, PA. - The Golden Eagles had trouble scoring in the first half against Villanova, and found themselves too far behind to catch up.

The Wildcats beat Marquette 73-56 despite 13 points from Deonte Burton and 11 from Todd Mayo. Marquette led for only 20 seconds of the game against the 8th ranked team in the country.

The Golden Eagles (17-12) have two crucial regular season games remaining - at Providence and versus St. John's - before Big East Tournament play starts next week.
