KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Anthony Huber was the second man shot and killed by Kyle Rittenhouse. His girlfriend is speaking out as deliberations continue.
Hannah Gittings has watched the trial since day one. She has mixed feelings about the prosecution and the defense, but she's remaining calm until the verdict is read.
It's been more than a year since 26-year-old Huber was shot and killed by Rittenhouse.
"Pretty surreal, I would first and foremost think after a year passed, it was a lot of closure for some of the things," said Gittings.
Hannah Gittings was Huber's girlfriend. His death has been an open wound.
"It's triggering for a lot of us and to me it feels like how did it last year," Gittings said.
Gittings says she has been talking to Joseph Rosenbaum's fiancé. They are dealing with the same pain and hoping for a guilty verdict.
"I just recently met his fiancé who is just a sweet person. I think that's important too because regardless of the details of that situation, she's just a person too who's been affected by this in a very similar way that I have," said Gittings.
