WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- More than 400 Girl Scouts achieved the highest honor for giving back to their community.
Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast hosted its annual Highest Awards Celebration Tuesday, May 21, at MATC.
More than 400 Girl Scouts received a highest award.
Seventeen of them earned the gold award, which is the highest- the rest earned either silver or bronze.
"I'm very excited, it's an honor to be here today," said Girl Scout Megan Schatz. "All the girls worked so hard to accomplish the awards they've gotten today, and I think the energy is just really positive."
Together, the Girl Scouts contributed more than 12,000 hours to the community.
