Girl, 13, recovering after being hit by car near 60th and Layton

GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 13-year-old girl is recovering after being hit by a car on Friday evening.

According to police, the 13-year-old was crossing the street when she was hit by a car near 60th and Layton.

She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a fractured leg.

The driver of the striking vehicle, an 18-year-old Greenfield woman, stayed on scene of the accident and is cooperating with police.
