Giannis and Lillard named 2024 NBA All-Star Game Starters

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and guard Damian Lillard have been selected as starters for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.

Giannis earns his eighth consecutive All-Star selection and dethroned LeBron James as the leader in fan votes. This is the first time in the Greek Freak's career he has led the NBA in All-Star votes.

This will be a special All-Star game for Lillard too as it is his first time being named a starter.

Wisconsin native Tyrese Haliburton will join Lillard and Giannis on the Eastern Conference team playing on his home court in Indianapolis.

The starters for the All-Star Game were selected by fan, player, and media voting, with fans accounting for 50% of the vote while all current players and a media panel accounted for 25% each, according to the Bucks press release.

The 73rd NBA All-Star Game tips off from Indianapolis on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
