Get your walking shoes on this weekend for a free tour of historic West Bend sites
WEST BEND (CBS 58)--It's like seeing a trifecta of rich West Bend history. This weekend, the public is invited to visit three historic locations for free!
The 1889 Courthouse, 1886 Jailhouse, and the St. Agnes Convent & School from the mid-1800s will all be featured. The Washington County Historical Society is hosting the event as a way of saying thank you for the community's support.
The Courthouse Museum, at 320 S. 5th Avenue, will be opened throughout the span of the entire event. Tours are self-guided. Meanwhile, docents will lead the tours of the Jailhouse Museum, also at the same address. They'll last 30 minutes, and reservations are strongly recommended.
Contact Justin Agar-Pratt for reservations ([email protected] or 262-335-4678.)
Finally, the St. Agnes Historic Site (1386 Fond du Lac St, West Bend, WI) will be open only Friday, August 13, from 12:00-3:00 pm. Tours are self-guided.
