MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The start of fall coincides with National Indoor Plant Week. And both are happening right now. This is the perfect time to work on your green thumb skills. We spoke with the experts at Stein's Garden & Home on Milwaukee's south side to get some helpful advice on caring for the greenery in your home. In a nutshell, it's recommended to not overthink it and just have fun nurturing a living thing. Tim Osterbeck says it's important to not water too much. Also, having enough water and food can make the difference between life and death.
And while you're at it, the pros say this is the perfect time for tree planting because the roots tend to be less stressed. Stein's has a section devoted to plant care, whether it's inside or outside, on their website. And we've linked it to ours, right here.
