MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee has a unique and colorful history with beer, so it stands to reason we are one of few cities with an actual craft beer passport.
The PubPass has been an increasingly popular item for people in the area. For $25 you receive a free beer at 25 area establishments. All year, passport holders try to fill up their books with stamps.
As a PubPass finisher, there is a big party at The Cooperage, with prizes handed out. For people with the pass, it's a fun way to get to know the city and see places they may not have otherwise checked out.
"A craft beer free at 25 different spots that maybe you have been before and revisit...haven't been before and discover that you love," said Jake Nyberg of PubPass.
"We made it our date night," said PubPass finishers, John and Elena Colaianii. "Every month we go out for one night and try and hit 4-5 pubs and see what we can do."
The 2020 pass has a few new bars added this year. You can purchase them through their website.Â
The Hunger Task Force receives $1 from every PubPass sold.
