MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Furry Color Crawl, an evening event for both people and their furry friends, will take place at Canine Einstein in Milwaukee, located at 1601 E. Oklahoma Ave.
Participants will gather for fun that begins at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, with the walk scheduled at 8:15 p.m.
Organizer Vicky Van Lare joined us on Monday, Aug. 14 to discuss details, including a preview of what kind of fun to expect as dogs and owners alike get coated with rainbow colors.
Van Lare did note that the color used in the event is safe for both pets and people, consisting of a blend of food grade cornstarch and baking soda with FD&C-approved food coloring. The color will wash off with soap and is applied using 100% cotton socks tapped onto both people and dogs.
The cost to participate is $15 per adult, including a color bombing station, goodie bag, glow wear and a free photo booth photo.
More information can be found by visiting the event's Facebook page.
