Furloughed employee explains struggle during the shutdown

MILWAUKEE- On Monday, CBS 58 spoke with a furloughed government employee in Milwaukee.

Ann Tusha has been with the Forest Service for the last 24 years, but when the shutdown happened she was deemed \"non-essential\".

With the shutdown now in its third week, she filed for unemployment on Monday.

She also said she picked up a part time job and called creditors to let them know about her situation.

Tusha said she doesn't know if or when she will get her next paycheck.

\"It's really scary, it creates a lot of anxiety,\" she said.

The mother of two college kids said she is also worried about her health benefits.

Tusha said she is staying connected with other furloughed employees and trying to be positive.
