MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee Police Officer is honoring fallen officer Matthew Rittner this weekend.
Officer Trevor Deboer was Rittner's partner and says he might have been killed if Rittner wasn't there.
Deboer and his wife are holding a fundraiser Saturday at their Hartland business Hyde Syte Tactics.
The public event will include lots of food, live music, a silent auction, and a raffle.
Deboer says he and Rittner's fellow officers always try to keep their heads high when honoring Rittner's memory.
"We get through it day by day as a unit which I consider a family. So every day, we take one day at a time and we keep moving forward," said Officer Deboer.
Some of the prizes range from Marquette basketball tickets to Packers memorabilia.
