Freezing Rain Forecast Saturday Morning

After dealing with 10 consecutive days of freezing to below freezing weather, warmer temperatures return this evening and set us up for some light freezing rain.  A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect from 1am Saturday through 10am.  After midnight, light freezing rain is forecast to arrive in southern Wisconsin from the south and west.  The freezing rain and drizzle is forecast through 8am with temperatures slowing rising to above freezing by 8am.  After 8am, look for a change to drizzle and light showers as temperatures climb into the upper 30s.  Saturday afternoon is even warmer with temperatures climbing into the low to mid 40s as the patchy drizzle continues.

\"\"So, the greatest concern lines up Saturday morning 1am through 8am.  If you don't have to be out early, you know have an excuse to sleep in.  Beware though, even if temperatures are above freezing, some slick spots could linger for a couple of hours in the morning because of the frozen ground.  All icy spots should melt by mid to late morning.  The rest of the weekend remains above freezing with a soaking rain forecast Sunday.
