MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee is set to host the "coolest event of the year" on Saturday, March 18, as the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Wisconsin returns to the city's lakefront.
The event aims to raise $10,000 for Special Olympics Wisconsin, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
To shed light on the upcoming event, Whitney Eagan, the Special Events Manager for Special Olympics Wisconsin joined us on Monday, March 13.
She even discussed the "special someone" who will take the plunge if the full fundraising goal is met.
Special Olympics Wisconsin is still looking for volunteers to help with the event.
More information about registration, donating and volunteering can be found by clicking here.
