MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man charged with a freeway shooting in Milwaukee Friday had apparently just been fired from his job.
24-year-old Jonathan Perez faces one count of first degree reckless injury, use of a dangerous weapon and one count of first degree recklessly endangering safety, use of a dangerous weapon..
The criminal complaint says two of Perez’s co-workers were heading home after work Friday in heavy traffic on I-43. They told police Perez pulled up next to them near Capitol Drive, took out a gun and fired. One victim was shot in the hand and thigh while the other was grazed by a bullet.
Perez’s girlfriend and co-worker was in the car with him and told police she too witnessed the shooting.
Perez’s bail has been set at $50,000. The courted that he have no contact with the two victims and his girlfriend. He is expected back in court on October 12 at 1:30 p.m.
