Free Hair Cuts for Domestic Violence Awareness

A visible stand of solidarity against domestic violence was shown Saturday in Milwaukee. Students at the empire beauty school are offering hair cuts to people Saturday as a part of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the school's "National Day of Beauty".

All the money raised will go toward area shelters for survivors of domestic abuse, "our rescue mission, we earn the money for them over the course of the year and then we give them a nice check. And it really helps the families to help clothe them and it's just a wonderful feeling to be able to give back."

If you know someone who is the victim of domestic violence, you can call the Milwaukee Commission for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault or Department of Children and Families.
