Franklin Police remind residents of rules regarding chair placement for 4th of July Parade

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Franklin Police Department is reminding residents and visitors of the rules regarding setup for the 4th of July Parade.

Chairs can only be placed on the grassy portion of the shoulder and in the median of West Loomis Road starting after 5 p.m. on Monday, July 2.

Police say that if any chairs are found on the paved portion of the roadway, they will be moved to the grassy area. 

Police are also reminding residents that If any personal items are left on the roadway prior to the above-designated start time, they will be removed.

No parking of any type will be allowed at any time on either the shoulder or the median. Vehicles and/or trailers or similar will be towed, police say.
